Psychotherapy for Individuals, Couples, Family Therapy, Group Therapy for Teens and Children

Connection between people is instrumental in shaping the self and creating our shared sense of reality. As a child, our sense of self is shaped by early family interactions. This sense of self continues to change and can be transformed throughout life. However, patterns of thought and behavior often become fixed, and remain when no longer functioning adaptively for the individual. Unchanging patterns can limit creativity, joy, interconnectedness and consciousness.

The relationship between therapist and client is a powerful tool in reshaping the sense of self and forming new ways of interacting with others and with oneself. I use mindfulness, attention and genuine presence with our shared humor and aliveness in a collaborative, Humanistic approach combined with focused Cognitive-Behavioral and Logo therapy to allow new sense of self to emerge. Cognitive Therapy has been shown to be optimally effective in treating many serious psychiatric conditions and helpful in breaking entrenched patterns. Thoughts, beliefs and behaviors that are responsive to new awareness will lead to greater happiness and fulfillment. I wish such satisfaction for you. Please call 510-647-8108, if you wish to speak directly.
